With nearly a year of existence, the association Rêve’Ailes composed of students of the ENSICA training, began in early September to assemble the first parts of its ULM.
After the vertical stabilizer, the team of students is now building the tail unit. The drilling and riveting of the aluminium sheets constitute a large part of the assembly work. Not to mention the preparation of the parts.

Rêve’ Ailes
Rêve’Ailes is an amateur construction association created in 2010 by students of the ENSICA training. The association’s objective is to build a light aircraft, purchased in kit form: a Zenair CH 601 UL which will be entrusted to the Revel flying club for its operation.
The members of the association plan to adapt the flight controls to disabled people. Thus, the realization of a malonnier (return of the rudder to the manual controls) was the subject of a PIP (Personal Initiative Project). A prototype will be supplied by next autumn. This malonnier will be adapted to the Zenair 601 and will allow its daily use by paraplegic people.

The association is supported by Brigitte Revellin-Falcoz, one of the first female airline pilots, and Guillaume Féral, a paraplegic pilot. The association currently has about twenty members and hopes to welcome new ones by the end of 2011, in order to advance the construction of the Zenair 601.
