Large Amphitheatre ENSICA Campus
2009-2010 Lecture Series
Theme: GNSS systems, their navigation signals
and their applications
We will describe the navigation and timing constellations
satellite navigation and synchronization constellations in medium earth orbit
GALILEO (Europe), GPS (USA), GLONAS (Russia), COMPASS
(China), GINS (India), as well as regional satellite systems
satellite systems such as EGNOS (Europe) or WAAS (USA) which
which improve the integrity and accuracy of the
positioning. In a second part, we will present the
models of the signals broadcast by these systems and their
and their applications, some of which are not well known, to
meteorology, earthquake observation and detection, fine
earthquake observation and detection, and fine observations of terrestrial phenomena.
