How does the donation work?
Four steps :
- administrative registration: This first step allows the collection of the information necessary to constitute the donor’s file. The donor must bring a document mentioning his identity.
- Medical interview: Confidential and covered by medical secrecy, the preliminary medical interview ensures that the donation does not present any risk to the donor or to the patient who will benefit from the blood products resulting from this donation.
- Collection: This lasts between 5 and 10 minutes. An average of 450ml of blood is collected. The material used is sterile and single use.
- rest and snack time: After the donation, the donor remains under the watchful eye of nurses. A snack is offered before leaving the collection site.
On behalf of all the patients who will benefit from your generosity: A BIG THANK YOU!}
