DIODON RECEIVES THE ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARD FROM THE ISAE-SUPAERO FOUNDATION!

The ISAE-SUPAERO Foundation’s entrepreneurship prize was awarded to Antoine TOURNET, a graduate of ISAE-SUPAERO, ENSICA class of 2018, co-founder and CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of DIODON Drone Technology created in 2017.

The start-up designs and manufactures all-terrain drones for applications in demanding environments.
The DIODON inflatable drone project was led with Roman Luciani also a graduate of ISAE-SUPAERO ENSICA class of 2018, from the beginning of their studies at ISAE-SUPAERO in 2014. During his preparatory classes, Antoine, who is passionate about board sports, carried out several engineering projects, whether on the vibrating bowls of LEGRAND production lines or on rivet installation methods at AIRBUS. In parallel, Roman, fond of new technologies, worked in preparatory classes on the development of a multirotor drone.

These experiences combining team management and advanced technologies have brought them a lot and given them the desire to lead their own innovative technological project. Classmates, they met around this common desire to undertake. It is the complementarity of their skills that gave them the idea of developing the first drone with an inflatable structure: the DIODON. Throughout their studies, they devoted themselves to the development of this new product: Roman at the head of the technological development and Antoine as responsible for business development and finance.

DIODON was born with the will to bring technology in difficult access environments. It is now a company structured to develop its R&D capacity while ensuring the industrialization of its products in-house. Recruitment, location and manufacturing processes have been planned accordingly.
Housed since 2017 in the premises of ISAE-SUPAERO, DIODON will move in February 2019 to the PROLOGUE business incubator in Labège and now has 25 people. A number that is expected to increase by 2022.
